1787 - born 5, 31, 1787 Union Dist., SC
1796 - Valentine, a farmer, Disciple of Christ, accompanied his parents in 1796
from Union Dist. SC to Barren Co., KY, now in Monroe Co.
1809/10 - Married Desire Springer in Barren Co., KY
Desire was born 1, 3, 1789 in Union District SC,
daughter of Ezekiel Springer (farmer) and Rebecca Collins,
residing in Barren, KY.
1817 - In 1817, with two children, Valentine and Desire emigrated to and settled
upon lands in Wayne Co., IN, not far from the present
village of Bethel.
1835 - In 1835, they moved to and settled in Kosciusko Co., and
1839 - returned to Wayne Co.
1841 - They moved into Randolph Co., where they ever after made their home.
1857 - Desire died 7, 19, 1857 in Union City, IN, and is buried there.
1861 - Valentine died 1, 24, 1861 in Union City, Indiana
