Innocent Til You Must Judge

1970's

In pain I have walked on this earth
The child, my soul, in need of birth
Freedom from these grasping ties
From the gravity my soul defies.

In pain I've watched the endless parade
Bearing the mockery they made
Their happiness that never stayed
But stole what was precious anyway

Bind me, caress my aching wounds
And yet your lives caressed the doom
Mindful of the ending times
That always comes and takes our minds.

Give me such freedom - from this hard pain
Give me a freedom that can remain
Innocence is all I asked of love
Freedom from the judgment of

Be wise and know the natures of earth
Understand a heart - give it birth
Be wise and surrender your eyes to truth
Be free - and see - the nature of you...
Innocent til you must judge.
