FRANK WOOLMAN
and Myrtle Harlan Woolman


Frank Woolman 1877-1961; homesteader, cattleman, farmer

1878 --- Myrtle Lewisa Harlan was born August 19, 1878 near Gifford, Harlan Co. Iowa
1879 --- Frank Woolman was born September 18, 1879 at Hastings, Nebraska
1880 --- Myrtle moved with her family by covered wagon to Furnas Co., Nebraska
1900 --- December 25, 1900 Frank and Myrtle were married.

Frank was a homesteader, cattleman, and farmer. He and Myrtle lived at Wahoo, NE
for two or three years before moving with her parents and two brothers to a homestead
south of Arapaho, NE. Later they moved to a farm south of Republican City, NE on the
Kansas-Nebraska state line. They later built a 14-room, two-story home on this land and
brought ten children into the world. All their children were born on this farm.

1948 --- Health prompted Frank to move in to Republican City, NE and lease out his land.
1952 --- He then moved to Alma, NE.
Beulah Wolfe, their eldest living child, cared for them in their last years at home.
Both Frank and Myrtle died from strokes.
They are buried at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, in Kansas, one mile south of their homestead.

Beulah Fay, 1903-1986; m. Darrel Wolfe 1923
Paul Harlan, 1905-1990; m. Myrtle Daugherty
Greta Blanche, 1907-1945; m. William Pangburn 1935
Alfred Frank, 1909-1983; m. Sarah Dick 1931
Laura Alta, 1911-x; m Wade Helms 1930
Benoit Clifford, 1913-1914; died by drowning
Mildred Lucille, 1916-x; m. Okly Carpenter 1932
Alice Grace, 1917-x; m. William Pangburn 1948
Billy Gerald, 1924-x; m. Cleota Wulf 1948
