 The Wolfe-Reinig Genealogy
Introduction
This site is a record of our ancestors which was chronicled by the work
of Joyce Reinig- with help from both of our extended families- who did the
tedious and time-consuming researching and compiling of the genealogies.
It was a work of dedication and love by all.

It is presented here in digital form
in the hopes that this work will never be lost.

A Note To All

Christmas 2011 was coming and I remembered Grandma Wolfe's collection of
clippings that Mom had once suggested I try to do something with. These were
clippings from newspapers and magazines of poems and stories that Grandma had
liked enough to save. At the time, I just did not know what to do with them. But
this Christmas, I remembered them and thought a small book of a collection of
them would make a nice present to give to everyone in the family.

I started working with them, typing them up and designing the pages and soon
realized that a printed book format wasn't going to work well. They really needed
the design elements that you can get on a web page. Also, there would be less
supplies needed for the project. I knocked some ideas around and decided to use
my own website to display them. However... it meant restructuring my entire
website itself. As it happens, a new structure would solve several problems I'd had.

When I realized that I could create a distinct page for those clippings, I also realized
that Mom's genealogy work would fit well into a digital format, making it easier to read
and appreciate. So... I did it. I began uploading Mom's genealogy work. At some time
in the future the clippings will have their own section, too.
For now, I hope you will enjoy the genealogy stories as I upload them - as much as I have.

Mom had virtually put together a book of our family's genealogy.
I absolutely would be lost without it. It has everything in an understandable order
that makes transcribing it onto a web page merely a task of following her work.
As I worked more and more with it, I decided to stream-line the information
using links to profile pages, and not including entire dates for relatives not in our
immediate line.

So... I have done some rearranging and editing, but have stayed true to the information
itself... and I kept intact all of the personal input that Mom herself included in the book.
Those who are looking for detailed information about distant relatives can refer to her book.
