Sixteen

1970

Sixteen
Boldface facing the mirror
Fully human
Intensified the terror

Yes
Naked, naked, naked

Throwing the head back
Inflating the chin
The moments escaped
Into blossoms of spring

Dreaming
Reality rather hard
The child alive again
Staving off the new fierce reflection

An eye catches the form again.

Naked "me"
Clothes WOULD help
To shade the shock
"And my friends would understand
Even if I don't."
