I Live in the Trees

February 26, 2016

I live in the trees
Where I make my nest...
Far above
The stalking night tiger...
Far above
The foraging snake...
Out on a strong branch
With limbs weaved about me...
Woven with vines...
Woven with overhead branches
Woven with grass and leaves...
To cover...
In the rain...
To warm...
In the chill...
And I lay upon a fluffy moss.

I live in the trees...
Where I seek my fruits and my nuts...
And my water.

I live in the trees...
Where I climb the heights...
To watch the world.
